Alter serving is a great way for the youth of the parish to actively participate in liturgical celebrations. It is an activity that is essential for keeping the mass running smoothly. Any youth in grade 3 or older may volunteer their service. Their duties include carrying the cross in the procession and assisting with the preparation of the altar during each of the three weekend masses. They also have the opportunity to assist at funerals, weddings and other special Masses throughout the year. The highlight of the year for many of the youth is the annual pizza party which is held as a way of thanking them for their dedication and it is held during the autumn months.
